Web Site News
| Here is where you will find notes and
special information from me, the webmaster.
I have been designing websites as both
a hobby and as a sideline to my computer services business since
1995. While I don't claim to be a web design guru, I do have a trick
or two up my sleeve. So sit back and enjoy the ride, we may have an occasional
bump in the road, but nothing we can't handle. I want to emphasize that
this website belongs to the American Clipper Owners Club, and as such, I
will be looking to the club members for suggestions and guidance on the
content. You can easily make suggestions using the Contact
Page.

- 2/3/2007 - It's been a while since this was updated. A long
while. The Tech Forum Software got an upgrade tonight.
Trying to stop the massive amount of spammers who were signing up at the
old message board trying to post inappropriate things.
- 5/1/2004 - Our forums got hit by a hacker. I did manage to
save all the data, and get it moved to a different forum software
package. Also moved the site to a new server at http://americanclipperownersclub.com
- 10/29/2002 - Added Feb. 2003 Rally Registration to the Forms Page.
- 6/23/2002 - Membership forms changed to reflect the change in
Membership Officer. Please note new address for membership
inquiries.
- 3/14/2002 - Added the Registration Form for the May Rally to the
Forms Section. North West and South West Classified ads entered.
- 2/2/2002 - Upgraded the
ACOC Forums
to a newer version of software. The new version added two major
features. First is a "Who's Online" function so you
can see who else has been visiting recently. The other is a printer
friendly formatting option. At the bottom of a message thread,
there is a link for printer friendly version. This will cut out
most of the images and extra stuff so topics will print more
concisely. it should also make putting together the newsletter
MUCH easier.
- 1/12/2002 - Moved the old Tech Forum, Tips & Hints and Greetings
data into the new
ACOC Forums. This
way we can get rid of the old pages to avoid confusion, but still keep
the information for people to see.
- 12/13/2001 - Updates have been made in the Classifieds. Several rigs
have been added for sale.
- The new ACOC Forums are up and
running. This will allow
members to post and answer questions on the fly rather than having to
wait for me to post them. It will also allow easy password protecting
of the Technical Forum so that it will only be available to club
members. I will be looking for feedback from
the users to make sure it's easy to use and serves a useful purpose.
- Due to some technical issues, I created a backup website so I could
get to work while we worked out a few bugs during the transition. If
you happen to have trouble with the main americanclipper.com
address, try clipperclub.org
